Pro ty, kdo neznají celý příběh: Saineh byla odsouzena soudem, který nemluvil jazykem, kterému rozumí. Za údajné cizoložství (ke kterému mělo dojít až po smrti jejího manžela!) k trestu smrti ukamenováním. Celosvětové úsilí vedlo k tomu, že trest byl odložen a změněn na trest smrti, ale ne ukamenováním. Poslední informace (viz níže) jsou ještě tristnější:

Proč mučit někoho, vůči komu mám důkazy? Neříkám tím něco víc, než jasně? Proč zavírat toho, kdo na jeho obranu zvedne svůj hlas? A proč ho proboha mučit?
Tady se nehraje jen o Sakineh. I kdybychom ji nezachránili, náš společný hlas povede k tomu, že mocní sice možná na truc zabijí ji, ale příště si dají většího bacha. A to může pomoct mnoha lidem. Martin

V případu Sakineh a jejího cizoložství došlo k závažnému porušení lidských práv. Nejdřív měla být ukamenována k smrti. Ale její děti vytvořily celosvětovou akci proti soudu, který byl fraškou. Sakineh nemohla mluvit řečí používanou u soudu (pozn. překl: Nezná ji a tlumočník nebyl dovolen). Cizoložství, z kterého byla obviněna, proběhlo po smrti jejího manžela. Celosvětové úsilí přimělo Iránskou vládu, aby zrušilo trest.
Pak byl její advokát nucen odejít do exilu a obžaloba vytvořila nové obvinění za které by mohla být popravena - za vraždu jejího manžela. Sakineh si již odpykává trest za údajnou spoluúčast na této vraždě. I přesto byla mučena a přinucena se "přiznat" v celonárodní televizi a byla uznána vinnou. Od té doby iránský režim zatkl 2 německé novináře, jejího advokáta a jejího syna, který odvážně vedl mezinárodní kampaň za zaáchranu své matky. Všichni zůstávají ve vězení a její syn a advokát byli také mučeni a nemají přístup k právní pomoci.
Nyní iránští aktivisté za lidská práva sdělili, že má být Sakineh okamžitě popravena. Je na seznamu a dnes je den,kdy se popravuje. Naše trvalá kampaň vedla k tomu, že její trest byl zastaven a způsobila pozornost vůdců zemí, které mají vliv na Irán jako Turecko a Brazílie. Teď je třeba urgentně zvednout naše hlasy, abychom zastavili její vraždu a nehumánní chování a osvobodili ji, jejího syna, právníka a německé novináře.

Sakineh's adultery case is a tragic sham stacked with human rights violations. First, she was to be stoned to death. But the Iranian government had to revoke the sentence after her children generated a worldwide outcry against the farcical trial -- she could not speak the language used in court, and the alleged incidents of adultery took place after her husband's death.
Then her lawyer was forced into exile, and the prosecution conjured up a new trumped-up charge for which she would be executed -- the murder of her husband. Despite this being double jeopardy, as she is already serving time for alleged complicity in this crime, Sakineh was tortured and paraded on national television to 'confess', and was found guilty. Since then the regime has arrested two German journalists, her lawyer and her son, who has bravely led the international campaign to save his mother. All remain in prison and Sakineh's son and lawyer have been also tortured and have no access to lawyers.
Now Iranian human rights activists state an order has just been issued from Tehran to implement her killing immediately. She is on the list and tomorrow is execution day.
Our persistent campaigning led Iran to drop Sakineh's stoning sentence and captured the attention of leaders in countries with influence on Iran, like Turkey and Brazil. Now let's urgently raise our voices to stop her killing and inhumane treatment and free her, her lawyer, her son and the jailed German journalists.
